It is a sure-fire way to create an atmosphere of love and openness in your home when you make tasty food and hang out in the kitchen with your family members-and their friends! In our house….I do all of the above at various times. Or, does your schedule only allow for a menu tonight of a frozen pizza tossed into the oven and store-bought salad as a side? No problem! Do. Good ol’ meat and potatoes with a homemade pie for dessert? Fabulous!ĭine on organic veggie main dishes and fresh fruit to end it on a naturally sweet note? Awesome! This week, focus on the kitchen, the heart of the home.īy that, I don’t mean that making gourmet dishes is key or that presenting them in a fancy-fied way is the goal-although if you are the gourmet and fancy-fied type, then go for it! The issue is to make the kitchen a warm, inviting place where people are fed and souls are nourished-however that looks in your home.

Get those pots and pans clanking as you serve up some lovin’ from the oven. Anything goes-as long as your family loves it. Or perhaps you all love a homemade pizza or popcorn night. Maybe your gang is into healthy veggies and fruit-based treats. Perhaps they love old-fashioned meat and potatoes meals or nostalgic baked goods.
